Why Coroplast Is the Standard Yard Sign Material

Coroplast, a corrugated plastic sheet material, is lightweight, weather-resistant, and inexpensive enough to make sense for signage that's often used for a limited time, like a campaign season, real estate listing, or single event, rather than years of continuous outdoor display.

Its fluted internal structure gives coroplast surprising rigidity for its weight, which helps a sign resist sagging or bowing in wind without needing a heavier, more expensive substrate.

Mounting and Stake Options

H-stakes and step-stakes are the two most common mounting systems for yard signs. H-stakes slide into pre-cut slots on the back of the sign and work well for temporary or single-season placement, while step-stakes offer a similar setup with an easier ground-insertion design.

For windier locations or longer-term placement, double-sided staking or a heavier-gauge stake can help keep a sign upright and properly positioned over time.
